Pasquale Fameli is a senior researcher at the University of Bologna’s Department of the Arts, specializing in historical and artistic heritage. He holds a PhD in Visual, Performing, and Media Arts from the University of Bologna. His research focuses on 1960s-70s artistic practices, verbal-visual experiences of the late 20th century, and art-new media intersections.
Education: PhD in Visual, Performing, and Media Arts (2018), Master’s in Visual Arts (2012), Bachelor’s in Modern Literature (2010). Awards include the Luigi Tagliavini Award for best Master’s thesis and scholarships for specialization. He edits the journal piano b. Arts and visual cultures and is affiliated with multiple academic societies (CUNSTA, AICA Italia, etc.).
Research groups include Il fare pensiero, Culture Fashion Communication, and VARIA | Video Art in Italy. He has organized and participated in numerous conferences, exhibitions, and editorial roles. His work emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches to art history and contemporary practices.
