Olivia Moore serves as an Adjunct Professor of History and Director of Auxiliary Enterprises at Kilgore College, where she manages the East Texas Oil Museum and Rangerette Showcase Museum with a focus on digital archiving, exhibit renovation, and community engagement initiatives.
Her academic foundation includes a Master of Arts in Public History from Stephen F. Austin State University, completed with the thesis 'Mattie Castlebury—East Texas Oil Boom Legend' examining women's pivotal roles in regional oil culture.
Professor Moore's research centers on East Texas regional history through the lenses of public history and women's contributions, manifested in practical museum management and community-focused scholarship. She founded the East Texas History Summit to create collaborative networks among historians, educators, and museum professionals, emphasizing accessible historical preservation.
Her professional engagement spans multiple historical associations including the Texas State Historical Association, East Texas Historical Association, and American Association for State and Local History, complemented by her current service on the Gregg County Historical Commission (2025–2027).
