Olga Pałka-Slaska is an Adjunct Professor and Head of the Chair of Printmaking at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice (Faculty of Art). Born in 1980, she earned her PhD in 2012 following a diploma with distinction from the Intaglio Techniques Studio under Prof. Jan Szmatloch and an additional project at Prof. Jacek Rykała's Painting Studio. Her academic career includes over 15 years of teaching since 2006.
Her research and creative work focus on printmaking techniques and contemporary visual arts, with ten solo exhibitions and participation in international print competitions. Notable accolades include awards from Kraków’s International Print Triennial (2009), China’s Guanlan Biennial (2015), and Japan’s Utazu Art Awards (2016), alongside the Meritorious for Polish Culture honor (2016).
Her works are featured in museum and private collections globally. Office hours are held at Raciborska 50 (room 205) and Koszarowa 19 on Wednesdays 13:00–15:30 and Thursdays 10:30–16:30.
