Dr. Noreen Byrne is a Lecturer at the Department of Food Business and Development, University College Cork, and a researcher at the Centre for Co-operative Studies. She co-directs the MSc Co-operatives, Agri-Food and Sustainable Development program, teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Main Research Areas: Co-operatives, member-driven innovation, place-based development, agri-food systems, and sustainability.
- Leadership: Previously served as Academic Director for credit union education programs across Ireland (2014-2016) and appointed to CIRIEC International Scientific Commission in 2018.
