Nicholas Betts is a Professor of Trumpet at the Royal College of Music (RCM) and Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He has held principal trumpet positions in prestigious orchestras including the European Community Youth Orchestra, Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, City of London Sinfonia, London Philharmonic Orchestra, and currently the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.
- Educated at Guildhall School of Music and Drama with scholarships
- Performed major trumpet concertos (Haydn, Hummel, Vivaldi, Telemann)
- Commissioned and premiered Dan Jenkins' Trumpet Concerto (2008)
- Recorded Haydn and Vivaldi trumpet concertos with City of London Sinfonia
