Natalie Miller is a Post Graduate Teaching Assistant and PhD candidate at the University College London (UCL), affiliated with the Institute of Epidemiology & Health Care. Her research focuses on health behaviors, psychobiology, and their associations with cancer and cardiovascular disease outcomes, particularly exploring psychological distress's impact on cancer survival. She holds a BSc in Psychology from the University of Birmingham and an MSc in Health Psychology from UCL, where she received the Jane Wardle Studentship and Dean's List Award for academic excellence.
Her work integrates epidemiological methods to study cancer survivorship, including analyses of socioeconomic factors, mental health, and biomarkers. Notable projects include studies on physical activity interventions (APPROACH trial), qualitative investigations of social support during cancer treatment, and the interplay between childhood adversity and cardiometabolic health. She contributes to the Soc-B Centre for Doctoral Training, funded by ESRC and BBSRC.
