Yvonne Kelly is a Professor of Lifecourse Epidemiology at University College London (UCL), based in the Department of Epidemiology & Public Health. She holds leadership roles as Director of the International Centre for Lifecourse Studies (ICLS) since 2018, co-Director of the ESRC Centre for Lifecourse Health Equity (Equalise), and Director of the ESRC-BBSRC Soc-B Centre for Doctoral Training. Her work focuses on lifecourse epidemiology, integrating clinical, psychological, and social determinants of health.
Education: BSc (Honours) in Biological Sciences from the University of Salford (1992), followed by a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Liverpool (1997). Early career included research at Aintree Hospitals Trust before joining UCL in 1998, where she contributed to the Millennium Cohort Study's inception.
Research interests span clinical sciences, public health, and psychological disciplines, emphasizing health equity and lifecourse approaches. Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals 3 (Good Health) and 5 (Gender Equality). Collaborations and leadership in interdisciplinary centers underscore her commitment to advancing lifecourse health equity.
