Mojca Pecman is a Professor of English Linguistics at the University of Paris Cité and Director of ALTAE (unité de recherche en traductologie et en linguistique appliquée) since 2025. Her academic career spans over two decades, including a Lecturer role in English Linguistics (2006–2021) at the same institution. She holds a Doctoral Thesis in Language Sciences (2004) and an Habilitation à Diriger les Recherches (2017), both from prestigious French universities.

Research Interests focus on transdisciplinary phraseology, terminological variation, and specialized translation. Projects include leading the ARTES initiative (2010–present) and co-leading OCTAVES (2021–present). Past collaborations include SPECTRANS (2021–2022), MUST (2019–2022), and YourTerm Medical (2018–2019), alongside international partnerships with institutions in Slovenia, Croatia, and Spain. Her work often involves building terminological resources and training specialized translators.
