Yvette MOLLEN is a Professor in the Department of Linguistics and Translation at the Université de Montréal's Faculty of Arts and Science. She specializes in endangered languages, particularly the Innu language, and has been recognized for her work in language preservation and revitalization. She is a member of the Observatoire de linguistique Sens-Texte (OLST) and has led/co-led research projects such as «Kushpitau ! (montons en territoire)» and «Uauitamutau assi. Terminologie de l’environnement en langue innue». Her contributions were honored with the 2021 Prix Gérard-Morisset and the Prix de la valorisation des langues autochtones. She teaches Innu language courses (levels A1.1 to A1.4) and contributes to programs in anthropology, Indigenous studies, and linguistics.
