Mikhel Proulx is a Research Fellow at Queen's University's Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts, affiliated with the Film and Media department. He specializes in contemporary Canadian art, digital culture, and network-based art through queer-feminist and settler-colonial lenses.
- Education: PhD in contemporary Canadian art and digital culture (dissertation awarded 2022 Leonardo Journal top thesis prize)
Research Interests: Explores intersections of network culture with queer-feminist and settler-colonial frameworks, focusing on digital art practices and media histories. His forthcoming book in the Queer Films Classics series analyzes Bob Fosse's Cabaret and Weimar Berlin's queer sexualities.
