Jennifer Kennedy is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Art History and Art Conservation at Queen's University, with cross-appointments in the School of Graduate Studies (Cultural Studies) and the Faculty of Arts and Science. Her research focuses on intersections of art, mass media, and politics since the 1950s, emphasizing transnational feminist art, queer theory, and digital media. She holds an MBA from Queen's University (2020) and Cornell University (2020), and a B.A. in Economics from Carleton University (2011).
Research Interests: Global contemporary art; transnational feminist theories; queer theory; performance/digital media; art and activism; critical pedagogies. She leads SSHRC-funded projects on cyberfeminist art histories, digital art conservation, and open educational resources in art history through the collective Open Art Histories.

Her collaborative work with artist Liz Linden employs participatory methods to interrogate feminist discourse through libraries, town halls, and public installations. She co-edited Transnational Perspectives on Feminism and Art (Routledge, 2021) and explores Canadian cyberfeminist legacies, net art collaborations, and the Situationist International's gender dynamics.
