Michiel Luchtman is a Professor of Economic and European Criminal Law at the Willem Pompe Institute for Criminal Law and Criminology, part of Utrecht University's Faculty of Law, Economics and Governance. He leads the RENFORCE project and Jean Monnet Network on EU Law Enforcement (EULEN). His work bridges European Union law, transnational criminal justice, and fundamental rights.

- Research: Focuses on EU law enforcement convergence, ne bis in idem, and administrative-criminal law intersections
