Dr. Michael Takagi is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Psychological Sciences at Monash University and a Clinical Neuropsychologist. He co-leads the Turner Neurodevelopmental Clinic, focusing on cross-disciplinary psychological assessments and clinical research. He is also a Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist at the Children's Court Clinic (Victoria) and an Honorary Research Fellow at the Murdoch Children's Research Institute. His research emphasizes pediatric concussion, interventions for persistent symptoms post-injury, and neurodevelopmental outcomes. He has collaborated on studies supported by the Royal Children's Hospital Foundation and Monash University.
Teaching commitments include courses such as Clinical Neuropsychology and Neuroanatomy and Cognition. His work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to education and health. Recent publications focus on biomarkers for concussion recovery, clinical guidelines, and pediatric trauma outcomes.
