Dr. Adam McKay is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Psychological Sciences at Monash University and a Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist at Epworth Healthcare. He specializes in clinical neuropsychology, with a focus on traumatic brain injury (TBI) rehabilitation, concussion treatment, and psychosocial outcomes after acquired brain injury. He leads the Neurorehabilitation Clinic at the Turner Clinics and is part of the Brain Injury and Rehabilitation research theme at the Turner Institute. His work bridges clinical practice and research, aiming to improve functional recovery and quality of life for individuals with brain injuries.
Education: PhD in Psychology (University of Melbourne, 2005). Active roles include managing the Monash Epworth Rehabilitation Research Centre (MERRC) and leading projects like the INFORMED study on concussion management in sports. He has collaborated on grants from NHMRC, ISCRR, and others. Dr. McKay trains clinical neuropsychologists and mentors PhD/Honours students, emphasizing evidence-based interventions for cognitive, emotional, and behavioral challenges post-injury.
