Melody Brown Burkins is the Director of the Institute of Arctic Studies at Dartmouth College and serves as Senior Associate Director at the John Sloan Dickey Center for International Understanding. She is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Environmental Studies, focusing on Arctic and global science diplomacy, climate change, sustainable development, and inclusion. Her international roles include being an elected member of the International Science Council (ISC) Governing Board, Chair of the US National Academies’ Board on International Scientific Organizations (NASEM-BISO), and contributions to the ISC report Unleashing Science: Delivering Missions for Sustainability.
