Matthew Kearney is a Lecturer in Marketing and Subject Director for Marketing at the Department of Global Business and Enterprise, Ulster University Business School. He holds a PhD in Consumer Behaviour from Ulster University and specializes in teaching roles across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including Course Director for Business Studies and HRM & Marketing degrees.
His academic career spans roles at Northumbria University's Newcastle Business School (2011–2013) before returning to Ulster University in 2013. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and has been nominated for a university Excellence in Teaching Award.
Research interests include consumer psychology, digital marketing, tourism strategy, and the application of technology in education.
