Mary Davis is the Ashland-Spears Distinguished Research Professor of Law and Dean of the University of Kentucky J. David Rosenberg College of Law since January 2021, following an interim role. She joined the UK faculty in 1991 after six years in products liability litigation defense at prominent law firms. Her expertise spans products liability law, federal preemption, and mass tort litigation, with notable scholarly contributions including co-authorship of Products Liability and Safety: Cases and Materials and the leading treatise Owen & Davis on Products Liability. She has held visiting professorships at institutions like the University of Texas School of Law and Boston College Law School.
