Mark Stewart serves as a Visiting Professor of English in the Department of English within the College of Arts and Sciences at Oklahoma City University (OCU), where he has maintained academic affiliation since 2012—beginning as a Learning Enhancement Center tutor, progressing to adjunct faculty, and currently holding his professorship. He is also a graduate of OCU's Red Earth MFA program.
His educational foundation includes a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from OCU's Red Earth program, and his creative scholarship centers on Fiction and Poetry within the broader domain of Literary Arts. Professor Stewart has instructed writing workshops for OCU's Red Earth MFA program, the Ralph Ellison Festival, The Metropolitan Library System, and Oklahoma City LitFest, where he additionally participated as a featured reader.
His creative writing has appeared in literary journals including Literary Orphans and Caffeine Dreams, reflecting his active engagement with contemporary literary communities through both publication and public pedagogy.
