Dr. Mark Buschgens is a Lecturer in Marketing at the Research School of Management within the College of Business and Economics at The Australian National University. His research focuses on the intersection of brand aesthetics, consumer culture, and diasporic identities. He employs qualitative methods like visual analysis, case studies, and co-design strategies to explore how branding constructs identity across transnational and marginalized communities.
Qualifications: BSc, MDes(Hons), PhD.
Research interests include brand visual aesthetics, diaspora identity formation, digital inclusion for seniors, and the sociocultural role of ICT. His work bridges marketing theory with practical applications in multicultural consumer contexts. Recent projects emphasize co-design approaches to reduce digital anxiety among older adults and enhance brand strategies for transnational audiences.
