Professor Bernardo Figueiredo is a faculty member in the Department of Economics, Finance & Marketing at RMIT University, Australia. His research focuses on globalization's impact on consumption and marketing practices, with expertise in consumer culture theory, customer experience design, and ageing consumers. He has held roles in industry, including at Procter & Gamble, Unilever, and as CEO of SMEs in the art sector.
His awards include the RMIT Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Learning and Teaching and the Best Competitive Paper at the Anzmac Conference (2019). He supervises research projects on topics like ICT literacy in older adults, diaspora consumer experiences, and luxury electric car market sustainability. He is affiliated with the Consumer Wellbeing Group and Consumer Culture Insights Group.
