Mario Campana is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Marketing at the University of Bath School of Management. He holds a PhD from Bayes Business School and has prior experience at Goldsmiths and the University of Bristol Business School. His research focuses on consumer materiality, LGBTQIA+ inclusion, and alternative economies, contributing to UN Sustainable Development Goals. Mario is affiliated with the Centre for Business, Organisations and Society (CBOS) and leads/co-leads research projects like the Networking Grant in support of UK Consumer Culture Theory research.
His work has been published in journals such as the Journal of Management Studies and Journal of Public Policy and Marketing. Key areas of exploration include advocacy strategies in LGBTQIA+ markets, drag culture's intersection with business, and frameworks mapping queer relationships in consumer contexts. Mario actively engages in academic conferences and collaborates internationally on consumer culture theory.
He has secured research funding (UK 100%) for projects exploring consumer creativity and organizing dynamics. Mario’s contributions bridge academic research with practical implications for inclusive and sustainable market practices.
