Maria Musarskaya is a Lecturer in Marketing at the Bournemouth University Business School, affiliated with the Department of Marketing, Strategy and Innovation. With a focus on ethical consumerism and digital marketing, she explores sustainable consumption practices and pedagogical excellence.

Her research bridges three key streams: ethical consumerism, digital marketing co-creation, and pedagogical innovation. Publications in the Journal of International Food & Agribusiness Marketing and presentations at major conferences (Academy of Marketing Science, British Academy of Management) highlight her work on sustainable seafood consumption and adolescent dietary behaviors. She contributes to UN SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) through consumer behavior analysis.
Maria has secured funding from the ESRC and FMRIF as a co-investigator, integrating practical insights from her prior private-sector experience in U.S. market research and business development. Her outreach includes the Digital Me photo exhibition at Bournemouth’s Sovereign Shopping Centre and participation in the ESRC Festival of Social Science.
