Marc Landy is a Professor of Political Science at Boston College. He holds a B.A. from Oberlin College and a Ph.D. from Harvard University. His research examines U.S. presidential leadership, federalism, constitutional development, and civic education.
He co-authored Presidential Greatness and the textbook American Government: Balancing Liberty and Democracy, now in its fourth edition. His work addresses institutional design, policy reform, and the historical evolution of American governance.
Recent publications analyze federalism's role in disaster response, presidential crisis management, and the conceptual foundations of citizenship. His teaching earned the Phi Beta Kappa Teaching Award in 2009.
