Mallory Whiteduck is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Vassar College, holding the Class of 1951 Chair. She joined Vassar in 2021 and is affiliated with the Departments of Political Science and American Studies, as well as the Women, Feminist, and Queer Studies program. Her academic background includes a BA from Ottawa University, an MA from Carleton College, and a PhD from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor.
Her research focuses on political theory, indigenous political thought, and intersections of gender and queer studies within political systems. She has been recognized with the American Studies Association Dissertation Prize. Whiteduck teaches courses such as POLI 170 (Political Theory) and POLI 274 (Indigenous Political Thought).
In addition to her academic work, she has engaged with local and state political leaders, including speaking at the New York State Political Science Association meeting alongside Mayor Yvonne Flowers and Lieutenant Governor Antonio Delgado. Her scholarship emphasizes collaborative governance and leadership in contemporary political contexts.
