Erina Harris is an Assistant Lecturer in Creative Writing and Literature at the University of Alberta's Department of English & Film Studies, Faculty of Arts. She holds a PhD in English and Creative Writing from University of Calgary, MFA from Iowa Writers' Workshop, and SSHRC Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Poetics and Pedagogy.
Her research-creation engages feminist, queer, and decolonial methodologies, exploring ethics, subjectivity, gender construction, trauma narratives, and Indigenous-settler relations through experimental poetics. She examines storytelling forms including fairy tales, nonsense verse, and doll historiography.

Published works include poetry collection The Stag Head Spoke (CAA Poetry Award finalist) and hybrid work Trading Beauty Secrets with the Dead (2024). Current research investigates histories of misogyny through North American children's dolls (1800-present).
