Maggi Feehan is an Associate Professor affiliated with the School of Communication and Culture at Royal Roads University and has cross-appointments in the School of Leadership. Since 2001, she has taught leadership courses and has been instructing in Communication & Culture since 2004. Her career includes a 20+ year tenure with the University of Victoria’s CACE program (Adult and Continuing Education) since 1997. She holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (University of Victoria, 1996) and a Bachelor of Arts in English (University of Alberta, 1986).
Her expertise focuses on public speaking, creativity, and interpersonal dynamics. She is a certified facilitator for Open Floor International, integrating movement meditation and dance into her professional practice. Feehan’s work emphasizes organizational change through creative communication strategies and team development. She received the President’s Scholarship at UVic (1994) and was honored with Royal Roads University’s 2015 Outstanding Associate Faculty Award.
As a dual professional, she maintains a private counselling practice alongside her academic roles, offering integrated support for personal and professional growth. Her interdisciplinary approach bridges academic instruction, creative arts, and practical leadership development.
