معرفی
Dr. Lukas Janssen is a Research Professor and Group Leader of the Emmy Noether Junior Research Group 'Quantum Critical Matter' at the Institut für Theoretische Physik, Technische Universität Dresden. He is an associated member of the Cluster of Excellence ct.qmat and Collaborative Research Center SFB1143. His academic background includes:
- PhD in Physics from Universität Jena (2012)
- Diplom in Physics from Universität Jena (2008)
Janssen's research focuses on quantum critical phenomena in strongly-correlated systems, with emphasis on:
- Frustrated magnets and interacting semimetals
- Emergent gauge field theories and quantum critical points
- Synergistic approaches combining condensed matter, high-energy physics, and quantum information theory
Analysis of Janssen's 15 most recent publications (2024-2025) reveals strong focus on:
- Quantum criticality in Dirac systems, Kitaev materials, and moiré structures
- Novel magnetic ordering phenomena including ferrimagnetism and spin nematics
- Advanced methodologies like quantum Monte Carlo and entanglement entropy analysis
- Materials-specific studies of pyrochlore iridates, graphene bilayers, and honeycomb magnets
Significant scientific recognition includes:
- Emmy Noether Junior Research Group (DFG, since 2019)
- TUD Young Investigator status (2020-present)
- DFG Research Fellowship (2013-2015)
- Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes scholarship (2006-2008)
- Principle Investigator in SFB1143 (Project A07, since 2020)
Janssen leads an active research group with current members:
- Postdocs: Dr. Zihong Liu
- Doctoral students: Niccolò Francini, Wilhelm Krüger, David Moser
- Master's student: Hao Yuan
- Research assistant: Jan Biedermann
The Quantum Critical Matter group conducts theoretical research at TU Dresden's Institut für Theoretische Physik, collaborating with experimental groups in ct.qmat and SFB1143 consortia. Their work bridges condensed matter physics, quantum field theory, and materials science to explore emergent quantum phenomena.
