Lucas Burr (M.M. ’25) is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Music at Carthage College, specializing in vocal pedagogy and music education. As a multi-instrumentalist and tenor vocalist, he actively performs in the Chicago area and teaches voice and piano at The Musical Offering in Evanston, Illinois.

In his teaching practice, Prof. Burr emphasizes a collaborative relationship between instructor and student, integrating the science of sound production with artistic decision-making. His performance experience spans classical choir, vocal jazz, musical theatre (notably with Kokandy Productions’ "Amélie"), and rock bands, alongside roles in regional theatre productions such as "The Prom" and "Dogfight".
Previously, he taught choir and adaptive music at Ben Franklin Middle School in Fargo, North Dakota. He also co-founded Little Falls Theatre Company, serving as music director/composer/arranger for original productions like "Darling."
