Llewelyn Hughes

Llewelyn Hughes is a Professor at the Crawford School of Public Policy at the Australian National University (ANU). He serves as Interim Director of the ANU Institute for Climate, Energy, and Disaster Solutions (ICEDS) and was previously Associate Dean for Research in the ANU College of Asia and the Pacific. His research focuses on the low carbon energy transition, particularly analyzing how governments balance economic competitiveness with climate change responses through a global supply chain lens. He has expertise in offshore wind energy, fossil fuel sectors (e.g., crude oil), and policy design for renewable energy adoption.
