Linda Engles is a Lecturer at the School of Psychology, University of Aberdeen, where she brings applied consultancy experience to her teaching of Organisational Psychology, Positive Psychology, and Diversity/Inclusion at work at MSc level. She coordinates the MSc Business Consulting and Psychology program and is developing a new MSc in Human Factors and Organisational Psychology launching in September 2025.
Her educational background includes:
- MSc Occupational Psychology, University of Leicester (2014)
- Chartered Psychologist (Occupational Psychology) by the British Psychological Society (2022)
Her research centers on menopause's workplace impact, addressing how symptoms cause 1 in 10 women to leave employment. She develops evidence-based interventions through a School-funded PhD project, emphasizing leadership education and systemic support while expanding into human factors and organizational psychology applications.
She accepts PhD students and currently supervises a project on menopause interventions, funded by the School of Psychology. As Enterprise and Innovation Lead for her School, she sits on the university's Enterprise Committee while developing industry partnerships.
Linda chairs the Staff Menopause Network providing safe spaces for university staff, and actively participates in the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee, Race Equality Network, and Women's Development Network to advance workplace inclusion initiatives.
