Laura Cascante serves as a Conservatory Teacher at Rider University specializing in Suzuki Cello and Cello instruction, holding faculty status since 1995. She concurrently teaches at Trenton Community Music School and Trenton International Charter School, maintaining active institutional affiliations across New Jersey's music education landscape.
Her academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Music from Temple University’s Esther Boyer College of Music, where she studied under Hirofumi Kanno and Philadelphia Orchestra cellist Lloyd Smith. Additional Suzuki pedagogy certification was obtained through training with Annette Costanzi, Pamela Davenport, Rick Mooney, and at the Hartt College of Music Suzuki Institute.
Ms. Cascante’s professional focus centers on cello performance pedagogy through the Suzuki method, emphasizing ear training and developmental music education. Her expertise spans classical string instruction techniques and curriculum development for cello students at foundational levels, with demonstrated commitment to community music programs through her dual institutional appointments.
