Kimberly Boone serves as Professor of Legal Writing and Director of the Legal Writing Program at the University of Alabama School of Law, where she has been a core faculty member since 2000 and assumed directorship in 2003. She additionally supervises the 2L Moot Court Competition and Moot Court Board.
Her educational foundation includes magna cum laude degrees from Huntingdon College and the University of Alabama School of Law, where she excelled as a member of the Alabama Law Review, Moot Court Board, and Jessup International Law Moot Court Team while earning election to both the Order of the Coif and Order of the Barristers.
Professor Boone's scholarly focus centers on Legal Writing pedagogy, Legal Research methodology, and professional development for law students, informed by her pre-faculty litigation practice in EEOC matters, employee handbooks, and internal investigations. Her conference presentations at regional and national legal writing forums reflect deep engagement with evolving teaching methodologies.
