Anne Miles Golson serves as Assistant Professor of Legal Writing at the Law School, having joined the faculty in 2025. Her professional background bridges significant legal practice experience with academic instruction, focusing on developing students' litigation and writing skills through real-world expertise.
Her educational achievements include graduating summa cum laude from Alabama Law, where she demonstrated exceptional advocacy skills:
- Member of the national championship-winning New York City Bar National Moot Court Competition team
- Recipient of the Overall Best Advocate award at the moot court competition
- Junior Editor for the Alabama Law Review
- Inductee into the Order of the Barristers, Order of the Coif, and Bench & Bar Legal Honor Society
Professor Golson's professional expertise centers on appellate practice and complex litigation, with specialized knowledge in managed care reimbursement disputes before federal administrative bodies. Her current academic role leverages extensive courtroom experience—including arguments before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, Provider Reimbursement Review Board, and Office of Medicare Hearings and Appeals—to train future attorneys in persuasive legal writing and advocacy.
