Kevin Kemper

Kevin Kemper serves as a course instructor at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) within the Department of Software and Systems Engineering Management in the School of Systems and Logistics. He specializes in teaching the Chief Engineer's course, a comprehensive 7-month program designed to prepare current and future Air Force Chief Engineers for their demanding roles.

Mr. Kemper brings extensive practical experience to his teaching position, having previously served as Chief of Engineering for the Training Aircraft Division where he managed engineering efforts for multiple aircraft platforms including the T-7, T-6, T-1, and Air Force Academy aircraft. His professional background also includes leading engineering initiatives on C-130 upgrades, the C-27, an F-16 variant, and establishing the first depot/modification line for the B-2 bomber.

His educational background demonstrates strong technical and management foundations with a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University (1982), a Masters of Science in Systems Engineering from Wright State University (1988), and a Masters of Business Administration in Project Management from Wright State University (2003). He further completed professional military education at the Air War College, Air University in 2006.

As an instructor at AFIT, Kemper contributes to the School of Systems and Logistics' mission of providing cutting-edge education and consulting services to Air and Space Force communities, helping to mold professionals capable of adapting to any contingency through competency-based education.
