Winn Holcombe

Winn Holcombe serves as a Course Director and Instructor at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) School of Systems and Logistics, located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. In his role, he teaches and manages continuing education courses focused on Life Cycle Risk Management and Systems Engineering for military personnel.

Mr. Holcombe earned his Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Cincinnati in 1979. His educational background has supported his diverse engineering career spanning multiple disciplines.

His professional interests include Leadership Development and Strategic Planning. He maintains active professional engagement as a member of the Dayton Society of Professional Engineers, demonstrating his commitment to engineering excellence.

Prior to his position at AFIT, Mr. Holcombe served as an electronics engineer, plans and programs engineer, and aerospace engineer with Air Force intelligence, conducting systems analysis on foreign unmanned aerial vehicles, aircraft, and ballistic missiles. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio with previous experience as a structural engineer for mobile hydraulic cranes and a mechanical engineer in industrial hydraulic pumps.
