Juliette Wilson is a Professor in the Department of Marketing at the Strathclyde Business School, University of Strathclyde, where she has been based since 2008. She currently serves as Director of Teaching and Learning and is an elected member of the University Senate. She has extensive leadership experience and has been actively involved in curriculum development, including the Digital Masters in Marketing and Small Business Marketing programs.
Her research focuses on the networking and market practices of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), with particular interest in hybrid organisational structures, alternative and non-mainstream markets, and sustainable consumption. She has conducted significant research in the food and drink sector, craft industries, and creative sectors. Her work integrates both quantitative and qualitative methods, emphasizing transformative service, green marketing, and social enterprise models.
The recent trends in her publications reflect a strong commitment to sustainability, institutional change, and critical perspectives in marketing. Her work spans food waste, ethical food marketing, menopause and identity, visual research methods, and cycling tourism, demonstrating interdisciplinary engagement with sociology, gender studies, and environmental sustainability.

Juliette Wilson has supervised over 100 PhD, MSc, and undergraduate research projects and currently mentors doctoral students in areas such as social enterprise, green marketing, and transformative service. She has secured research funding from the EU FP7, ESRC, British Academy, Scottish Universities Insight Institute, and Curtin University. Her current projects include 'Making Motherhood Work' and studies on public sector procurement and modern slavery.
She is an editorial board member of Industrial Marketing Management and regularly reviews for top journals. She has also acted as External Examiner at Heriot-Watt University since 2016 and serves on the board of Dunbartonshire Young Enterprise. Her professional activities include invited talks, conference organization, and public engagement workshops on sustainability and community development.
