John Storey

John Storey is a Professor of Design Management at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), serving since Fall 2021. He holds an M.F.A. in Design Management from SCAD and a B.A. in Foreign Service with Asian Studies from Baylor University. His career spans over three decades in the global fashion and design industry.

Storey has held leadership roles at major fashion houses and consultancies, including Modmentum Inc., which he founded to specialize in brand strategy, design collaborations, and sustainable/circular fashion. Notable clients include MCM, Lacoste, and Victorinox. He previously served as General Manager of Christophe Lemaire S.A., where he restructured operations and expanded international markets, and held senior positions at Comme Des Garçons and Ato Co. Ltd., focusing on international sales and PR.

His research interests center on design management, luxury branding, and sustainable practices in fashion. He has extensive experience in cross-cultural business strategies, fashion show coordination, and editorial leadership, as seen in his roles as a senior editor and managing editor for publications like ez Magaine and SCADnow. Storey has also contributed to education, teaching ESL and Japanese literature courses at Seinan Gakuin High School.
