Nathan Asquith

Nathan Asquith is a Professor of Animation at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) since August 2015. He holds a B.F.A. in Illustration and a Certificate in Art Education from the School of Visual Arts. Prior to academia, he served as Art Director/Fabrication Team Manager at Hornet Inc. (2006–2015), leading projects for clients like Land Rover, Samsung, and Björk. He founded Taylor Asquith LLC (2011–present) to develop industrial designs and has been a freelance commercial fabricator since 2001.

His work focuses on fabrication, set design, and stop-motion animation for commercials and film. Notable projects include the MTV series Celebrity Deathmatch and the Björk music video directed by Michel Gondry. He has received prestigious awards such as the Bronze Lion Award for Land Rover’s campaign and design patents for original industrial products.

Asquith’s expertise spans art direction, hands-on fabrication, and interdisciplinary collaboration. His academic role at SCAD combines teaching with industry-relevant practices, emphasizing creativity and technical execution.
