John Richardson is a Professor and Department Head of Art and Art History at the University of Connecticut (UConn). He holds an MFA (1996) and MA (1994) in sculpture and printmaking from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a BA with honors (1993) in Art from the University of Puget Sound. Prior to UConn, he taught at Wayne State University, the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, and the University of Wisconsin.
His artistic practice focuses on sculpture, prints, and drawings, which are exhibited and collected internationally. He is represented by Causey Contemporary in NYC. Richardson actively contributes to arts leadership through roles in organizations such as the College Art Association and Mid-America College Art Association.
