Chinn Wang is a Teaching Professor and Foundations Coordinator at the University of Denver's School of Art and Art History within the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. She specializes in printmaking, sculpture, and installation art, focusing on themes of personal narrative, cultural identity, and the immigrant experience. Her practice integrates coded visual languages and symbolic iconography to explore subjective histories and shifting perceptions.
Wang holds an MFA in Studio Art (Printmaking) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (2011) and dual BAs in Art History and Art Practice from UC Berkeley (2003). She has been a RedLine Denver resident artist (2012–2014), a CSArt Colorado artist (2013), and a MOCAD Denver mentor. Notable works include the Sisterhood public art series (2020) and the A is for... Denver Art Museum installation (2019).
Her research engages cultural assimilation, geomantic principles, and immigrant heritage through mixed-media projects. Awards include the 2013 Santo Foundation Grant. Professional affiliations include Foundations in Art: Theory & Education (FATE), Mid-America Print Council, and Southern Graphics Council International.
