Jennifer Schmidt is a Professor of the Practice at Tufts University's School of the Museum of Fine Arts, where she chairs the Print, Paper, and Graphic Arts Department. Her work spans print media, graphic design, writing, and sound to create site-responsive installations and performances.
- Education: MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, BA in Studio Art and Art History from the University of Delaware
Research interests include interrogating visual iconography, repetitive actions, and public/private space dynamics through printmaking, performance, and social sculpture. She explores material culture via handmade paper, screenprinted textiles, and architectural interventions.
Recent projects focus on pattern repetition, ecological documentation, and historical homage through print-based installations, often involving participatory elements and community interaction.

Advising & collaborations include mentoring at residencies and leading team-based fabrication projects. Her lab involves experimental printmaking techniques and interdisciplinary material exploration.
