John Guenther is a University Fellow at Charles Darwin University's Faculty of Arts and Society, affiliated with the Northern Institute. His research focuses on Indigenous education policy, community development, and STEM education challenges. He holds a PhD in Vocational Education and Training from CDU (2005).
Key research interests include Indigenous higher education success metrics, policy analysis at cultural interfaces, and transitional pathways for First Nations students. His work integrates quantitative and qualitative approaches to address systemic barriers in education and housing design for Indigenous communities in the Northern Territory.
Recent publications explore policy effectiveness, STEM disengagement, and housing solutions for First Nations populations. Collaborations span Australian institutions, emphasizing Northern Territory-specific contexts. Supervised work includes his own thesis on VET and regional planning.
