Dr. Jessica Lee is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Human Movement and Nutrition Sciences within the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences at the University of Queensland. She is recognized both nationally and internationally for her distinguished academic work in sport, health, and physical education.

Her extensive publication record shows a consistent focus on sociological perspectives in physical activity, with recent work (2023-2025) examining community schools, fatherhood discourses, midwifery attrition, dietary guidelines, and sport policy. Her research demonstrates a trajectory from early work on rural young people's engagement with physical activity to broader social issues affecting health and education.
