Rennie Lee is a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Social Science Research, affiliated with the Faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences at The University of Queensland. She holds a PhD in Sociology from UCLA and previously served as an Assistant Professor at Florida International University and a Lecturer at the University of Melbourne.

Her research focuses on immigrant integration, children of immigrants, cross-national immigration policy, gender and family dynamics, and sociology of education. Recent projects include FamilyLinQ Evaluation Framework, CRISP Settlement Outcomes, and Community Support Program evaluations, emphasizing quantitative analysis of refugee and immigrant experiences in Australia and globally.
Rennie has contributed to studies on mental health disparities, labor market outcomes, and ethnic solidarity, with over 50 publications including journal articles, book chapters, and policy reports. She is currently available for supervision, leading projects on educational trajectories of immigrant children, social disadvantage among immigrants, and integration outcomes for humanitarian migrants.
Her work involves collaboration with institutions like the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs and the Queensland Department of Education, focusing on policy evaluation and community engagement. She is part of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Children and Families Over the Lifecourse, advancing interdisciplinary social science research.
