Jens Iverson is an Assistant Professor at the Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies, part of Leiden University's Law Faculty since 2014. He also serves as Visiting Faculty in the Vermont Law School's VLGS Graduate Program, teaching International Environmental Law and Policy. His academic background includes a Ph.D. from Leiden University, a Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings (cum laude), and a B.A. from Yale University. He has held roles at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia and contributed to human rights projects, including co-founding the Hastings Human Rights Project for Haiti.

His research emphasizes the legal and ethical frameworks for transitioning from conflict to peace (jus post bellum), including environmental protection in post-conflict settings.
