Jennifer Steinorth is a Lecturer in the Department of English at the University of Michigan. She holds an M.F.A. in Poetry from Warren Wilson College (2015) and a B.A. in English from Michigan State University (1996). Her interdisciplinary work bridges creative writing, architecture, and dance. She teaches courses such as 'Writing and Academic Inquiry' and 'Creative Writing.'
Her research focuses on documentary poetics, hybrid forms, ecopoetics, and disability studies. Steinorth has published two books: Her Read, A Graphic Poem (2021) and A Wake with Nine Shades (2019), the latter receiving awards from Foreword Review and the Texas Institute of Letters. Her creative work appears in journals like Cincinnati Review, Kenyon Review, and Michigan Quarterly Review.
