Jennifer L. Caine is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Studio Art at Dartmouth College, where she teaches courses such as Painting II and Painting III. Previously, she taught at Boston University for five years and served as a visiting artist at Providence College, Lyme Academy College of Art, and the Museum of Fine Arts School.

Her artistic practice explores the relationship between memory, time, space, and materiality through paintings, prints, drawings, artist books, and installations. Key themes include sedimentary strata, fractal geometries, and the interplay between legible and illegible textual marks in layered compositions.
Notable solo exhibitions include CoLab (Austin, TX), The Painting Center (New York, NY), Soprafina Gallery (Boston, MA), and the Zillman Museum of Art (Bangor, ME). Collaborative site-specific installations include works with Rachel Hellmann at the Addison Gallery of American Art (Andover, MA) and the University of Indianapolis.
Scientific and artistic awards include the Edward E. Elson Residency Award and the Constantin Alajalov Award at Boston University. She is a member of the Boston Printmakers and the Center for Book Arts.
