Dr. Jeffrey Walkey is an Associate Professor of Theology at Ave Maria University. He specializes in Thomistic metaphysics, the relationship between nature and grace, the analogy of being, and theological exegesis. His current research focuses on pagan theology and Thomistic accounts of being. Dr. Walkey holds a B.S. in Management from Purdue University, an M.T.S. in Theological Studies from Duke Divinity School, and a Ph.D. in Religious Studies from Maquette University.
His recent scholarly work includes proposals for two books: Defective Thinking about God: A Thomistic Study of Pagan Knowledge and Ignorance (Cambridge University Press) and The Analogy of Being: Mapping the Landscape of Thomistic Accounts (Cascade Books). These works reflect his engagement with medieval philosophy and its contemporary theological applications.
Dr. Walkey is affiliated with the Department of Theology and contributes to the university’s academic mission through teaching and research. His office is located in Henkels Hall 3004.
