Jane Gosine is a Professor at Memorial University, affiliated with the School of Music and cross-appointed to Community Health and Humanities within the Faculty of Medicine. Her work spans musicology and interdisciplinary research on music's role in health and wellbeing.

- Specialization: 17th-century French music, particularly Marc-Antoine Charpentier
- Music and Health: Director of Better Breathing Choir, co-investigator on SSHRC Partnership Grant
Her research bridges historical musicology with therapeutic applications, focusing on group singing for respiratory health and social prescribing. Current projects include collaborations with neurodiverse ensembles and arts-health advocacy in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Scientific awards: CFUW Creative Arts Award (2017).
She serves as a consultant musicologist for European and North American ensembles specializing in Renaissance and Baroque practices, and is an active viol consort performer.
