Jacquelyn Jacobs is a Distinguished Lecturer in the Department of Management & Entrepreneurship at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, affiliated with the Haslam College of Business. She holds a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology (UT Knoxville), M.A. from American University, and B.S. from Penn State University. Her research focuses on organizational practices such as reward systems, team effectiveness, and performance measurement. She teaches courses like Foundations of Organizational Behavior (MGT 336) and leads the Specialty MS program in Management & Human Resources.
Key research contributions include studies on pay-for-politics dynamics, team-based reward allocation effects, and employee relocation outcomes. She has presented at major conferences (Academy of Management, SIOP) and published in journals like Journal of Organizational Behavior and Research in Organizational Behavior. Notable awards include the Allen H. Keally Excellence in Teaching Award (2015, 2016) and Richard Reizenstein Outstanding Commitment to Students Award (2017).
Her service roles include Strategic Planning Task Force membership, Undergraduate Curriculum Task Force Co-Chair, and Director of the MSMHR program. She has led projects funded by NSF grants and the American Compensation Association.
